String Theory...everything is connected

I keep hearing the term "Green" in articles throughout my source set of books, magazines, ezines and of course newspapers... Green...

...and I keep hearing that everything is connected. Is it?

String Theory says that yes...everything is connected, but it also suggests that when the Universe stops expanding it will begin to contract and when it does that time will move backwards...What do you think, will it?

Enviornmental Expense: Understand The Responsibility To The Environment

Beginning in 1942, Hooker Chemicals and Plastics (now Occidental Chemical Corporation (OCC)) established a landfill which was used for the disposal of over 21,000 tons of various chemical wastes, including halogenated organics, pesticides, chlororbenzenes and dioxin. Dumping ceased in 1952, and, in 1953, the landfill was covered and deeded to the Niagara Falls Board of Education (NFBE). While the dump was not effectively developed, which resulted in failed containment, the deeding of the property…a sale at the price of $1…properly reported the waste site and excluded Hooker Chemical from most liability.

Subsequently, the area near the covered landfill was extensively developed, including the construction of an elementary school and numerous homes.

By the early sixties contamination began to emerge from the 16 acre chemical waste site, later to be identified in 1978 by NY state’s EPA as a hazard and evacuated, and then taken over by the US EPA as a Superfund Waste Site, prosecuted and managed for 21 years from 1983 to 2004 as one of the most noteworthy examples of environmental distress in the history of the United States… at least one that we can point our fingers at as an example of public adoption of an industrial environmental expense.

In 1995 the EPA suit against Occidental Chemical Corporation was finalized and OCC was charged a settlement totaling $129M to meet the claims against Hooker Chemical.

Attorney General Janet Reno said the settlement "should send

a message of federal persistence and tenacity."

"If Congress will give us the resources, we will work to get

polluters to pay their share," said Reno.  She noted that

Congress is currently attempting to cut environmental

enforcement.

The cost however for the Love Canal cleanup has been estimated at $250 million, though no one knows for sure. Studies indicated that numerous toxic chemicals migrated into surrounding areas. Runoff drained into the Niagara River, contaminating the river sediment. Dioxin and other contaminants migrated from the landfill to the existing sewers, which drained into nearby creeks. Those sediments are recognizable today in samples taken from these waterways.

Ironically, twelve years after the neighborhood was abandoned, the state of New York approved plans to allow families to move back to the area, and homes were allowed to be sold. In 2004 the EPA removed the site from the superfund list…

Love Canal is not the only hazardous waste site in the country that has become a threat to humans--only the best known. Indeed, the United States Environmental Protection Agency has estimated that up to 2,000 hazardous waste disposal sites in the United States may pose "significant risks to human health or the environment," and has called the toxic waste problem "one of the most serious problems the nation has ever faced."

 This is a prime example of industry benefiting from the environmental expense that comes from manufacturing. Air pollution, contamination, water waste and pollution are just the start of the list that needs to be compiled and the effects that need to be corrected so that we better understand how to become a sustainable planet…now and into the future. It isn’t about taxing industry to solve non-industrial problems. Its about correcting the problems caused by oversight and intentional pollution and waste that is experienced when organizations fail to understand their responsibility to the environment.

Is it legal???

Ok, our first question is can we really set up a Blog Based SuperPAC... and the answer is yes. We are looking to create an organization that generates political views and then expresses those views to our elected officials.

In the end...we are going to make a difference...that simple...without promoting the type of conflict we are observing in our National and State Governments. We want to be heard and that is what this Straight Talk Super PAC is going to do... Legal...yes, it is legal and it will work to benefit the United States, and through that medium the world.

What is our Goal and Who do we speak for?

It is the goal of this site to promote the rights of Americans to stand up and be counted for what they believe. Not what we think...what they think. To meet this end this blog and the PAC that we are forming will be reaching out to all of you to get your opinions on open questions that we pose, and questions that you pose on this blog and then do our very best to push that information to your elected officials and candidates for office.

We are not aligned to a standard party. When you demonstrate that you want the politicians to take a specific stand on an issue we will clearly state that to the politicians, and when they do not act in our best interest (oppose your positions) we will clearly state that.

We will form up together...under the Straight Talk banner ...and do our very best to tell you and the political machines what you are thinking. To do this we will need you to become members of our blog, support it with your comments and your posts, participate in surveys, and help us to be clear on our united voice. We will clearly state the questions, and we will report the common answers...with your voice being reported through precentages matching the surveys.

We will be promoting our PAC on You Tube with video content, On our Straight Talk blog, and through other appropriate avenues including Facebook and Twitter.

We will need your donations to cover our expenses...and we will collect this through a PayPal site...each month we will give a specific statement of what we received (totals) and how we spent the money. Most of it will go to national advertising (if we can't get in the door using Gurilla means) and PAC statements, some if it will cover our business expenses, and the dollars that are left over will ge used for College Scholarships...given annually to selected applicants chosen by a board that will be established for this purpose.

Are you being heard?

Are you being heard ... no, not looked at as a single individual, but really heard?
Your government is spending the Trillions of Dollars that you and I pay in taxes and they are not listening to what we want them to do with our money and for our society.

The United States is a huge power in the world, and we represent a moral climate that ensures balance for most issues...that is if the elected officials are listening to us and focused on our thoughts. It's time that you and I ensured that we are heard...and that our goals and desires are listened to by our EMPLOYEES.... our Senators, Congressmen and our Executive Branch up to the President himself. We elected him...we need to make sure he is listening.
